The
Major Issues
The 21st Century will be almost certainly one of the most difficult
and turbulent centuries that our planet has ever faced. Global
warming, climate change, global poverty, mass migration could
create for us a sense of hopelessness in the face of it all.
We want to work together with all those who believe that we
can make a difference. 21st century Network focuses its efforts
on raising awareness and encouraging social action around a
number of major themes,
- Global Security & Development
- Human Rights
- Climate Change
- Diversity & Social Cohesion
- Globalisation & Poverty
- Religion & Humanism
- Democratic Renewal
- The Social Economy
- Social Business Development
Central to making change happen
is involving a growing number of people in forums, discussions
and change organisations to create a culture of empowerment
and hope. To further this we work with,
- New audiences of concerned citizens found through social
networking
- Government and legislators
- Non Government organisations and
- The social business community
The aim is to create with others a new culture of sustainability
and hope in the critical decades of the early 21st Century and
to get those involved to begin to think of the long-term consequences
of our present day behaviour and actions in ensuring our survival
over that long-term period.
